CMP Welcomes New COO and VP of Operations

Chris Sigmon, chief operating officer for CMPCMP announces Chris Sigmon will be joining CMP as the new chief operating officer of the global recreational water component manufacturer. Sigmon will be responsible for all operations, including the company’s multiple production and distribution facilities.

Sigmon has a long and successful history as a strategic operations leader in the plastics industry and has developed extensive expertise with multi-site injection molding manufacturing, global management of engineering and tooling, new facility launches and integration and lean manufacturing transformations. Previous roles include president and COO of Dispensing Dynamics International, senior vice president of North American operations for Medplast Inc. and vice president of operations with United Plastics Group Inc.

Tom Opielowski, vice president of operations for CMPCMP also announces Tom Opielowski as executive vice president of Asian operations. With over 15 years of global operations and plastics manufacturing experience developed during his time abroad, in addition to his prior positions in the US, Opielowski brings extensive leadership and management expertise and more than 20 years of experience in lean manufacturing to CMP.

Opielowski’s previous management experience includes director of strategic sourcing for Pall Corporation, president of Medplast China, general manager of Nypro-San Diego and director of operations and general manager of Precise Technology.

“The addition of Opielowski to the CMP executive team will prove to be a great addition for the future of CMP overseas operations,” Drury says.
