Thursday Pools Celebrates Completed Facility Expansion

Fiberglass pool manufacturer Thursday Pools completed the expansion of its Fortville facility and held a ribbon cutting ceremony February 1.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the expanded facility and learned more about the company’s designs and innovations in the fiberglass pool industry. Ceremony attendees included members of the Fortville community, including the town manager and president of the Fortville Police Commission, and members of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

“We’re proud to be a part of the Fortville and Hancock County communities,” says Bill Khamis, chief financial officer of Thursday Pools. “As our business continues to grow, we look forward to contributing more to the growth of the local economy and creating more local jobs.”

Thursday Pools was also accepted into the Indiana Environmental Stewardship Program, which is awarded to Indiana businesses that go above and beyond environmental regulations and demonstrate a commitment to continuous environmental improvement. Commissioner of IDEM Bruno Pigott recognized Thursday Pools’ admittance at the ceremony.

The Thursday Pools manufacturing facility expanded to 60,000 square feet and doubled the company’s hourly employee base. All of the construction work was done by the Thursday Pools workforce.
