We all know that pools can get dirty pretty quickly, and the more time between cleanings the dirtier they can get. Pool owners don't want to waste their time manually cleaning their pool on a daily basis, just to prevent the inevitable. They want APCs! Luckily, there are a lot of great automatic pool cleaners out there to ease the stress of this chore.
Check out the 2012 line of automatic pool cleaners from some of the industry's finest manufacturers.
Solar Pool Technologies
Solar Pool Technologies introduces the Solar-Breeze pool cleaner. Solar-Breeze is an autonomous robotic solar-powered pool skimmer that runs all day on solar energy and for several hours into the night on battery power. It removes debris from the surface of the pool before it has a chance to sink to the bottom and decompose, the company says. Pool owners can reduce their pool pump run time by as much as two-thirds since there is less bacteria growth and less bottom cleaning required, according to Solar Pool Technologies.
Water Tech introduces the Pool Blaster Pro 1500, a battery powered pool cleaner designed for commercial pools. This unit has three times the cleaning time per charge with twice the suction of Water Tech residential vacuums, the company says. Each of the two battery packs included provides up to one and a half hours of run time, according to Water Tech. The unit features a 19-inch industrial-grade flexible vacuum head with 12 polyurethane ball bearings.
Solaxx WaterTreatment Solutions
Solaxx offers the Cobia (Chlorine Onboard Integrated Automation), a robotic pool cleaner with an imbedded salt system. The system is completely independent of the main filtration system and will sanitize, scrub and vacuum the pool floor and walls automatically, the company says. Cobia is designed for any swimming pool up to 40,000 gallons. The onboard salt cell is self-cleaning and the interface is user-friendly, according to Solaxx.
The revolutionary PoolCleaner family, from Poolvergnuegen, includes 2 Wheel and 4 Wheel Suction PoolCleaners and an innovative Pressure PoolCleaner. The new Kruiser cleaner for inground pools offers superior vacuum power and an extra-wide mouth to capture large and small debris, the company says. Kruiser's built-in bumper and unique seal design with specially engineered fingers prevent it from being thrown off course by drains, tight corners, eyeball fittings or lights, according to Pentair.
