Marchal DePasquale has joined Water Tech as the new general manager and executive vice president of sales and marketing, reporting to CEO/Owner Guy Erlich.

DePasquale’s brings more than 30 years of experience in the pool and spa industry, including time in retail, manufacturing, channel management, marketing and product development. He will be responsible for leading the pool and spa professional division, encompassing domestic and international sales, marketing, logistics, and customer service. 

“It is an honor to join the Water Tech team. I have always admired the innovation and impact Water Tech products have had on the industry,” DePasquale says.

Most recently, DePasquale served as senior vice president of global sales and marketing for SmartPool LLC. Prior to SmartPool, he was director of marketing for Hayward Pool Products’ cleaner division.

Coleman Returns to Clearwater Spas

Clearwater Spas and its parent company Thermal Hydra Plastics is pleased to announce that J. Michael Coleman returns as the company’s new U.S. Eastern regional sales manager.

Coleman brings nearly 17 years of hot tub industry experience to the company; in the past, he owned and managed hot tub retail stores and co-founded Spa Show Pro, a company that specialized in helping spa retailers hold sales events.

At Clearwater, Coleman will manage the following Eastern Regional states: FL, GA, SC, NC, VA,
WV, TN, AL, MS, MD, PA, NY, RI, DE, NJ, CT, MA, VT.

NSPF Announces Employee and Board Changes

Educational non-profit National Swimming Pool Foundation is proud to announce new appointments for the growing aquatic organization. Representatives say these board member changes, promotion and new hire will continue to shape the future moving forward for NSPF.

Bruce Dunn has been voted in as the president of the board, succeeding Scot Hunsaker’s previous three-year run. Dunn brings years of experience with him, in part from his own businesses, including Mission Pools of Escondido. His companies employ over 180 people who have built more than 12,000 pools, spas and water features. Dunn has also served two terms as chairman of the Master Pools Guild and 10 years as chairman for California’s Swimming Pool Educational Council.

Rob Butcher, the new treasurer of the noard, is currently executive director of U.S. Masters Swimming, whose mission encourages adults to swim. While Rob has led USMS, membership has grown from 40,000 to 65,000. An avid swimmer, Rob qualified to compete in the 2000 U.S. Olympic trials. In early 2016, Rob will continue his journey in aquatics by becoming the CEO of Swim Across America.

Jim Mock is the new secretary of the board. Mock has worked for Ecolab for more than 40 years, beginning as a territory manager and advancing to director of Ecolab’s Aqua Balance program.

To meet the demand for educational products relevant to the residential and commercial swimming pool and spa market, the organization has promoted Rose Lyda to product development manager.

Finally, Dolores Malocsay was welcomed to the NSPF family as the new executive assistant to the CEO. Dolores will be supporting CEO Tom Lachocki and will infuse her magical spirit of service into NSPF mission-based activities. In her new role, she will continue improving the processes and procedures that are signature to NSPF’s ongoing ability to meet the needs of its customers.

Anthony & Sylvan Pools Welcomes New Sales Manager

Anthony & Sylvan Pools continues to grow its team with the addition of Daniel Hake, who recently joined the team as sales manager of the Houston region. In his new role, Hake will manage the sales team in one of Anthony & Sylvan’s fastest growing markets.
 
“Dan’s extensive management experience will be a great asset to us as we continue our broad expansion into Texas,” says Tom Casey, vice president of sales at Anthony & Sylvan Pools. “We recently opened a new location in Katy and plan to expand further during our 70th year in business. We’re confident that Dan will help us continue making homeowners’ backyard dreams a reality.”
 
Hake brings more than 20 years of management experience to his new position. Prior to joining Anthony & Sylvan, he served as senior executive of customer and business development at Iron Mountain.
