VanceVivoPools Appoints Industry Icon to Advisory Board

VivoPools, a leader in swimming pool service management, has announced the appointment of Vance Gillette to the company’s advisory board. In this role, Gillette will draw on his 45 years of knowledge and expertise to help drive VivoPools’ continued national growth. In this position, Gillette will work closely with VivoPools’ leadership on strategic alliances and product development efforts.

Hydro-Quip National Sales Team Now Includes Blake Sales Associates 

Blake Sales Associates, which includes a team of five sales representatives, is now responsible for helping Hydro-Quip grow its presence out west in California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado, Wyoming and Washington.  

Hydro-Quip’s national sales team provides sales support, customer service and education for new and existing customers on the features and benefits of all Hydro-Quip products. 

DeltaUV joins forces with Professional Lines of Florida 

DeltaUV, manufacturers of a complete line of residential and commercial ultraviolet water treatment products, has joined forces with rep group Professional Lines of Florida, an independent group of representatives that will be promoting Delta UV and its products in Florida as well as Latin America. 

“We are very pleased to have this rep group helping us expand our product reach in Florida, which will continue our double-digit growth in the region,”  says Jeff Boynton of Delta UV.

Steve Campbell Fox Pool CorpFox Pool Corporation Hires Campbell as National Account Manager 

Fox Pool Corporation, manufacturer of well known Fox brand of package pools and vinyl liners, is pleased to announce it has hired Steve Campbell (see photo, left) as the company’s new national account manager for the Mid-Atlantic region. His responsibilities include customer relations, marketing, and sales for Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. John Romano Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

The president of All American Custom Pools & Spas, located in Norwalk, Conn., was recently honored with a special “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the 2014 Pool & Spa Show in Atlantic City. 

“This is John’s last year sitting on the APSP board, but he will continue to sit on the NESPA board,” said Robert Blanda, former president of NESPA, while presenting the award. “In addition to being a member of both boards, in years past John has been chair APSP and NESPA, chair of the APSP Builders Council, chair of the APSP Retailers Council and he continues to sit on the board of the Plasterers Council. John is one of the authors of the APSP Builders Manual, which is used to train and certify builders in the pool and spar industry today. To one who has devoted his life to our industry, we make this award.” 

In receiving the award, Mr. Romano said that it is a bittersweet time for him. “I want to thank my families past and present including my NESPA extended family for this great honor. Although I am leaving these boards, my connections and the friendships I have developed over the years will remain forever. I will continue my work with the Connecticut Spa & Pool Association (CONSPA), NESPA, the National Builders Council and Builders Education.”
