Zodiac Pays it Forward with Unique Company Event

Zodiac Pool Systems had a busy summer. Not only was it peak pool season, but staff at Zodiac headquarters got in the philanthropic spirit with its first-ever "Pay-It-Forward" campaign and its annual Red Cross Blood Drive.

Spearheaded by the company’s volunteer Providing Alternative Tomorrows with Hope program, the “Pay-it-Forward” initiative is the company’s first ongoing campaign to promote acts of kindness within both the company and the community. In early August, Zodiac employees were encouraged to perform a good deed for a fellow employee, then use a customized Zodiac token to encourage that colleague to “pay-it-forward” to another staff member. On August 17, the campaign extended nto the local community.

“Our team aims to do all we can to encourage selfless acts of kindness among our employees both internally and in the community,” says Jill Rooks, director of information technologies and customer operations and head of the P.A.T.H. program at Zodiac.

On August 6, Zodiac also hosted an employee Red Cross Blood Drive. Zodiac has collected a total of 178 pints of blood for the American Red Cross in past blood drives; this year marks the seventh time Zodiac sponsored a Red Cross Blood Drive.

“The American Red Cross plays a critical role in our nation’s health care system,” says Bruce Brooks, CEO of Zodiac Global Pool Care. “Our team is grateful for the opportunity to support the largest single supplier of blood and blood products in the United States, helping others in times of emergency and disasters.”
