Joseph Vassallo (Paragon Pools) Presented With Proclamation From Clark County Board of Commissioners

Joseph Vassallo, president of Paragon Pools, was presented with a proclamation from the Clark County Board of Commissioners during the Joint Meeting of the Commissioners held on December 5 at the Clark County Government Center Commission Chambers. The proclamation submitted by District C Commissioner Ross Miller, commends the 20 years of continued dedication and successful efforts achieved by the Float Like A Duck water safety initiative. 

Float Like A Duck and Paragon Pools received a proclamation in honor of what in the commissioner's office called "recognition of their 20th anniversary campaign that focuses on the importance of water safety and drowning prevention by providing information, tips and videos for consumers, non-profits and fellow water safety advocates."

Signed by the entire Board, the proclamation lists many of the initiative's achievements and ends with the following notation:

"WE, the Board of Commissioners of Clark County, Nev., on this 5th day of December in the year 2023, do hereby honor and thank Float Like a Duck and Paragon Pools for their contributions, dedication and service to the residents and visitors of Clark County; and we encourage all citizens to join us as we acknowledge and celebrate this valuable program that promotes swimming and water safety skills." 

Founded by Paragon Pools' President Joseph M. Vassallo as part of the company's philanthropic endeavors, Float Like A Duck continues its efforts to share the importance of water safety with a mission of educating the public on the importance of safety while celebrating the joys of water sports. 

"Congratulations to Float Like a Duck and Paragon Pools for 20 years of continued success with their water safety program! Since launching this educational initiative in 2003, your program has been a valuable staple of our community that has had a tremendous impact not only locally but also internationally. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to recognize all your hard work, generosity, and dedication to the public," states Commissioner Ross Miller. 

"Clark County has been an active Water Safety Partner with the Float Like A Duck initiative since 2015 when we collaborated on a water safety PSA," notes Vassallo. "We welcome their ongoing support and are confident that through our joint efforts, we can continue to make an impact in the community. Our objective is to educate families on steps they can take to keep their loved ones safe by bringing attention to situations and providing them with a pro-active safety tip to ensure a safe and fun lifestyle."
