FSPA Offers Assistance to Texas Pool Pros

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Texas pool pros now face the tall task of repairing and restoring thousands of damaged swimming pools — a challenge some new pool pros there have never faced. To help, the Florida Swimming Pool Association is opening access to FSPAConnect, an online community for Florida pool pros, to their counterparts from Texas, providing a forum for Texas pool pros to ask questions and gather advice from industry peers.

“All parts of Florida have been through hurricanes with varying size and scope of damage,” says Wendy Parker, executive director of FSPA. “Access to the expertise and experience of FSPA members is one way our association can help those in Texas as they begin to recover from this tragic event.”

“The open forum is good for the community as far as builders in other locations," says Tony Caruso, owner and president of TC Water Features in Orlando, Fla., and a member of FSPAConnect. "We all get to share tips. I don’t know it all. Maybe somebody will share a tip and it makes a big difference in other people’s lives as well.”

To join FSPAConnect, APSP and IPSSA members in Texas can contact Ava Jones at (941) 952-9293 or [email protected].
