Buck Hall, who served for 13 years as senior director of sales for Lonza Water Treatment’s Pro Dealer business, passed away February 23 of cardiac arrest. He was 62.

A 26-year pool industry veteran, Hall joined Arch Chemicals to lead the Pro Dealer sales team in 2004. (Lonza acquired Arch in 2011.) As the senior director of sales, Hall was responsible for developing and directing the implementation of the HTH Water Products sales and marketing strategy for the poolife brand in the dealer segment. Prior to joining Arch Chemicals, Hall worked for Pentair Pool Products as its vice president of business development.

"We at Lonza Water Treatment and the many professional pool and spa dealers who knew Hall will miss his sense of humor, his deep knowledge and love of the pool industry and his commitment to supporting his sales team and others in the business," Lonza representatives wrote in a statement.

“He was loved by most, respected by all,” says Stephen Heard, senior business director at Lonza and Hall's longtime friend. “He will be dearly, dearly missed.”

Hall graduated from the University of Georgia in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in education. He is survived by his wife Debora; his children, Kalli, Shannon, Matthew and Adrian; son-in-law, Paul; granddaughter, Kenlee; and siblings, Kip, Gail and Theresa.

A celebration of his life will be held on April 2 near his home in Canton, Ga.
