CPSA Announces Sacramento Conference

As drought conditions worsen, the CPSA is continuing its efforts to protect the California pool and spa industry with an industry-wide meeting for the Sacramento region May 20.

The meeting, supported by APSP and IPSSA, will cover a wide variety of subjects aimed at pool builder, service companies and other pool and spa professionals. In particular, the meeting will address strategies for responding to water restrictions, including those that the organization says unfairly targets pools and spas.

“The longer the drought goes on there is more likelihood of new restrictions being proposed by other districts. By coming together and discussing what they can do to contribute, Sacramento area pool and spa professionals can help prevent restrictions from being imposed and protect their business for the future,” say CPSA officials.

The meeting will also address publicity issues, from the materials developed for distribution among customers to the Let’s Pool Together campaign, which launched at the beginning of April. The campaign seeks to educate lawmakers and the public on water-saving capabilities of pools and spas with materials such as door hangers, bill stuffers and fact sheets.

The meeting will be held on May 20th from 4 – 5:30 PM at the Foundation for Pool and Spa Industry Education center, located at 598 Display Way, Sacramento, Calif.
