A new website offers an alluring concepts for small business owners everywhere: the chance to review your customers.

The website, ContractorsCustomers.com, allows businesses of all kinds to read and write reviews of potential clients. According to founder Scott Carzo, the website takes an age-old practice and brings it to the digital age.

“Business owners have shared information like this for years informally,” Carzo says. “The mason might tell the pool installer, ‘These people are great to work for, they appreciate quality and they pay on time.’ I figured if we could create a platform to share such information on a larger scale across many industries it would be very valuable.”

It’s a refreshing change of pace for professionals frustrated by unreasonable Yelp reviews. With ContractorsCustomers.com, professionals have the chance to warn others about bad customer experiences and also guard themselves against nightmare clients.

“The two most common comments I hear are, ‘It's about time’ and “what a great idea,’” Carzo says. “I am not aware of any other site quite like this in existence.”

Based on anecdotal evidence, Carzo says his plan to turn the tables is working.

“I have heard stories of customers wanting business owners to write good reviews about them so they can attract and work with better businesses,” he says. “’Can you write us a good review on ContractorsCustomers.com? I need a new roof in the fall and I want to be able to use it to help get a good roofer to do the work with.’”

The site launched earlier this year and is building its user base. To learn more, visit the website.
