The Mid-America Pool, Spa & Outdoor Living Show has announced major changes to this year’s event at the Schaumburg Convention Center in suburban Chicago, January 13-18, 2014.
Plans for the 2014 Show include the addition of a new Outdoor Living component, a longer show format and expanded show education including Belgard Hardscapes training, Genesis 3 Design Group courses, Structure Studios design suite training and a Certified Pool Operator Course.
As more and more pool builders are offering projects “beyond the pool,” organizers felt it was an ideal time to augment the show with an Outdoor Living component. By adding exhibitors and education that are hardscape and landscape focused, the show will offer the industry a more holistic experience. As part of the addition, the show partnered with Belgard Hardscapes, which will offer three courses focused on pools and outdoor living. In addition, Belgard will offer its two day ICPI training course.
The Genesis 3 Design Group will offer six courses at the 2014 Show, including Design 217: 20th Century Architectural Styles. In addition to the Genesis 3 courses, the show will offer a two day CPO Course, Pool Studios Suite training and manufacturer training by Pentair Aquatic Systems. To accommodate the additional education opportunities, some of which have not been offered in the Midwest in recent years, the show will be extended from 4 to 6 days. Along with the new offerings throughout the event, the usual 24-course education track that runs concurrent with the show exhibits will be increased to 28 courses.
