He has been in trade magazines for over 15 years, specializing in farm equipment and heavy construction as well as the pool and spa industry. He graduated in 1987 from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, has a wife and three kids, and bikes to work - even in the freaking winter! - from his home in downtown Madison.

A writer/editor with 32 years experience covering a wide range of business, technical, scientific and cultural topics, Eric joined the AQUA staff in August 2011 following 12 years as editor and co-founder of WaterShapes Magazine. He is a lifetime music fan and lover of fine arts, poetry and nature. He works from his home office in Hoodsport, Wash., a quiet rural community nestled in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains, where he and his wife Diane spend long hours exploring nature's grandeur. Eric's primary role with AQUA is to advance coverage of the design and installation of aquatic environments.

A Wisconsin-native, she graduated from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she served as arts and entertainment editor for the campus and community newspaper, The Echo. She joins the trade magazine world after nearly a year of reporting experience in the Madison area. When she isn’t indulging in her love of books, you can find her on Lake Wisconsin, perched on a sandbar with a fishing pole in hand or getting lost again at Devil’s Lake.

She joined AQUA in 2017 after teaching design and freelancing for 10 years. She is an army brat that has lived in a number of states (including Hawaii), but still calls Wisconsin home. She is an alumna of Texas State University, having earned a BFA (Big Fat Art degree). She strives daily to feed her passion to learn new things by keeping up with Adobe software, touting an Adobe Certified Instructor title, with an expertise in InDesign. Just don't ask her how to make a meme because she doesn't have a clue.
