Halosource Participates in Social Stock Exchange, Hires for New Commercial Aquatics Manager PositionBecause of the company’s commitment to clean water and developing environmentally friendly products, Halosource, parent company of the SeaKlear brand of swimming pool and spa water treatment products, was named one of the 11 founding members of the Social Stock Exchange, an event part of the G8 summit.
On June 6, Prime Minister David Cameron announced in London the launch of the Social Stock Exchange as a new initiative designed to connect the public financial markets with social impact investment. The SSE gives investors access to information on publicly listed businesses with strong social and environmental purpose, and guarantees full and transparent disclosure on the impact of those businesses.
In a speech ahead of the G8 summit, the Prime Minister explained that the SSE demonstrates that the UK is at the heart of financial innovation and social investment. The global market for social impact investment is estimated to be worth $9 billion and expected to grow to between $200 and $650 billion in the next decade. The first member companies to be admitted to the SSE are high growth businesses in markets such as social and affordable housing, clean-tech, waste, water, recycling, renewable energy, sustainable transport, health, education and culture. They include Ashley House, V22, Straight, Scope, Places for People, ITM Power, ValiRx, Good Energy Group, Primary Health Properties, Halosource and Accsys Technologies.
In other Halosource news, the company announced it has promoted Dave Callahan into a newly-created position as Commercial Aquatics Manager to help expand SeaKlear’s presence throughout the commercial and semi-commercial market. This is a conscious effort to leverage several SeaKlear products — including its enhanced filtration product, PRS, designed to trap crypto — as well as other water clarity products to address many of the clarity and safety needs in the commercial channel. Hayward Announces New Leadership for Sales TeamHayward Commercial Pool Products announced the recent hire of Brad Fox to the position of National Sales Manager for its commercial pool products team. In his new role, Fox is responsible for directly managing and overseeing Hayward’s entire U.S. Commercial sales team.
Fox previously served as general manager and CEO of Waterco USA, Inc, based in Augusta, Georgia. Fox brings several years of experience working in the Class A and B swimming pool market, as well as the industrial water treatment space. He has an excellent working knowledge of the specification and engineering community; he also brings strong relationships with both commercial builders and distribution channels.
