Haviland Announces New CEO

Mike Karasiewicz, CEO of Haviland EnterprisesHaviland Enterprises announces the appointment of Mike Karasiewicz as CEO. Karasiewicz has been a member of the Haviland board of directors since 2015.

“I am excited to lead this company,” Karasiewicz says. “Having worked with the management team these past few years, I see the dedication to quality, safety and their employees. Haviland has all the pieces in place to be successful and to grow.”

Karasiewicz is leaving Wilber-Ellis Company, a family-owned international marketer and distributor of agricultural products, animal feed and specialty chemicals and ingredients.

“I’ve spent the past 23 years with a great company,” Karasiewicz says. “I’ve seen it grow and am proud to be part of that growth. I see Haviland in the same position. Great people, great reputation. As an ESOP, it has a commitment from their employees and rewards that commitment.”

“Karasiewicz’s entire career, his life, has led him to this position,” says Bernard Haviland, whom Karasiewicz is replacing. “His track record in sales, chemical distribution, operations management and mergers and acquisitions are all attributes we were looking for. We’ve gotten to know Mike over the past three years on our board of directors. He’s a high-character guy, driven and focused.”
