Hayward is pleased to announce that it has been named 2019 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year in variable-speed pump performance and ENERGY STAR marketing. This includes the first product certified to the new Version 2.0 specification and the first-ever ENERGY STAR certified pump intended for aboveground pools.
Pool pumps that have earned the ENERGY STAR mark are independently certified to save energy, save money and help protect the environment. Hayward variable-speed pool pumps can save users up to 90% on energy costs or as much as $1,500 per year (compared to single-speed pool pumps), the company says.
Standard pool pumps run at one speed, using significantly more energy than necessary during some operations because they run faster and longer than necessary. Variable-speed pool pumps match a pool’s needs, running at the minimum speeds and times to maintain your pool.
