Latham Pool Products Announces Leadership Transition

Latham Pool Products announces Scott Rajeski as the new president and CEO. Rajeski is the former CFO and replaces Mark Laven, who has been appointed the next chairman of the board.

“The time is right,” says Laven. “The company and the industry are both doing well; we have very supportive owners, we have a strong leader in Scott Rajeski, who knows the business exceptionally well, and we have terrific opportunities for continued success. We have been actively engaged in succession planning to ensure leadership continuity, and are poised for a seamless transition.”

Prior to joining Latham in 2012, Rajeski served in executive leadership roles at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Momentive Performance Materials and General Electric. Rajeski has been a strategic advisor and driver of Latham’s growth, having been responsible for multiple acquisitions, private equity deals and growth initiatives. A graduate of Potsdam State University with a bachelor’s degree in math and business economics, Rajeski also holds an MBA degree from Clarkson University.

“I have worked closely with Mark Laven for nearly six years,” Rajeski says. “That time has provided me with the opportunity to learn how Latham operates and also learn about the dynamics of the pool industry. My goal is to take Latham to the next level in customer satisfaction and brand awareness. And we will know that we have been successful in that mission when people think first of Latham when they think of a pool!”

John Kempf replaces Rajeski as CFO. Kempf comes to Latham from EYP Architecture & Engineering, where he has served as CFO and Corporate Secretary since 2009 and Director since 2016. He held prior leadership positions at AECOM, Tyco International, and General Electric.
