LPI, Inc. announced additional expansion plans heading into the 2020 season. The company said it recently closed on a 126,000 sq. ft. facility in Johnson City, Tenn., to serve as its sole distribution and warehousing headquarters.
“Adding this distribution and warehouse location just down the road from our current 318,000 sq. ft. facility will free up much needed manufacturing capacity to fuel our thriving retail sales,” says CEO David Hatley.
In late 2018, LPI’s retail division, Aqua Living Factory Outlets, announced plans to open an additional 110 retail stores in the next 24-36 months. Hatley says that plan is still on track but the company hit capacity constraints much quicker than expected in 2019 and was only able to launch seven additional locations year to date.
“With this expansion of additional warehouse space, we can now quickly get back on track with our new store openings and plan to still have that complete in the next few years,” Hatley says.
