The 14th annual National Drowning Prevention Alliance Educational Conference will open its doors March 29 at the Hilton Phoenix Mesa in Mesa, AZ. The event serves as a perennial opportunity for organizations and individuals interested in drowning prevention to come together.

Topic highlights of this year's conference include Technology In Drowning Prevention and Global Perspectives and Research on Drowning Prevention.

At its 2015 Conference in Dallas, NDPA announced a new mission statement "United, we can prevent the tragedy of drowning", clarifying NDPA's special role as catalyst for advancing drowning prevention. The restructure of NDPA that accompanied the new mission statement formally recognizes four broad sectors as "Pillars" of NDPA:

  • Families United Pillar
  • Task Forces/Coalitions Pillar
  • Educational & Training Pillar
  • Corporate Pillar

The four NDPA Pillars will be equally represented at the 2016 Conference.

Attendee and Exhibitor registration is now open - go to ndpa.org for more information or to register.
