Mark Stephenson, former CEO of Environmental Test Systems and the inventor of the pool test strip, is joining Sutro to help develop its smart water-testing sensor.

The future of Sutro is in the applicability of its patent-pending sensor technology. CTO and co-founder Andrew Redfern is an expert of embedded software. Combined with Stephenson’s 25 years of experience in the drinking water, wastewater, and industrial water markets, Sutro’s sensor will be suited to deploy in almost any body of water. Stephenson’s knowledge paves the way for integration with municipal wastewater markets, as well as licensing, technology transfer, and collaborative research with China.
