Update 5/30/19: There are just two days left to enter the Truck & Van contest! Entries close at midnight on 6/1.
Do you have an amazing wrap on your truck or van? An immaculate interior? Does your vehicle turn heads wherever you go? Show us in our Truck & Van contest, which is back this year for another spin.
To enter, snag a few photos of your vehicle (hi-res is best) and fill out this form with details about your vehicle/wrap. We'll honor winners in three categories (and give our a few honorable mentions) in the August 2019 issue of the magazine.
Entries will be accepted through June 1, 2019.
RELATED: See the winners of the 2018 Truck & Van Contest!
We will once again have three categories:1. Best Exterior Graphics2. Most Organized Truck3. Most Unique Work Vehicle
Like last year, we'll also present additional awards as honorable mentions.
Criteria:Each entry is judged by the AQUA team according to two criteria: aesthetics and clarity of information. Simply put, do you have a unique, attractive truck that highlights pertinent information in a way that can be quickly understood? If so, we want to see it.
Prize:All winners will appear in the August 2019 issue of AQUA.
Tips for Your Entry:1. Tell us about your vehicle. In our entry form, we ask participants to tell us about the vehicle and what makes it interesting. What was the design process like? What were your goals with the design? Was your vehicle customized in any way to make your job easier? Does it turn heads in your community? Have any crazy stories? Adding these details helps your entry stand out.
2. Send us quality images. We’re looking for large, hi-res photos of your vehicle. (No need to hire a photographer, though — you can take some nice smartphone images and send them with your entry.) We suggest waiting for nice weather and taking a photo outdoors for proper lighting and clarity. Note: We prefer actual photographs, not renderings.
A picture might speak 1,000 words, but for a pool builder or servicer, a truck wrap can say way more than that. Why? Because it does the talking when you can't.
Maybe you're working your way through the daily cleaning route, and your bright truck catches someone's eye. The sight of happy swimmers on the truck door prompts a fellow driver to think, "Hmmm, that could be us. And we've got a perfect spot in our yard for a pool…"
Or maybe you're in the backyard servicing...
You can't get far in the pool and spa industry without a sense of humor, and that's especially true for people in service. Techs do far more than work on pools — they also spend their days quelling customer tantrums, managing unrealistic expectations, fixing the "tricks" homeowners swear the internet said would work, explaining how a salt cell works for the umpteenth time...you get it. That list could go on forever.
Because laughter is the best medicine, take a look at these great...
Everyone gets calls about green pool service, but not everyone provides it. But why not? It’s very rewarding to watch a frog-filled swamp turn into a perfectly healthy and swimmable body of water.
When you get that call, do you take the job or pass it on to the next company? Let’s take a closer look at the ways saying “yes” can benefit your company.
Green-to-cleans can be a great money maker for your company as they offer...
