Fluidra joins the ranks in providing mobile technology to the pool and spa industry

On the heels of pHin and Sutro, Fluidra is leaping in the smart water chemistry game after acquiring 80 percent of Riiot Labs, the creator of a smart water sensor called blue by Riiot.

blue is a floating water sensor that connects via Bluetooth to an owner’s mobile device to report information about the state of the pool water (temperature, salinity, pH level, redox potential and conductivity). The sensor can be synchronized with a pool dealer’s IT system, and service techs can also subscribe to blue+, a subscription service that allows techs to monitor pools from multiple devices.

blue by Riiot was recognized at the Foire de Paris and the Global Piscine trade fair in Lyon. At the beginning of the year it won a CES Innovation Award in the Smart Home category.
