On Jan. 31, the European Commission confirmed the acquisition of AQUATRON by BWT Group, a leading water technology company.

Wolfgang Stangassinger, head of the BWT Pool Division, said in a statement:

“We are delighted to welcome AQUATRON, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of pool robots, to our BWT family. With its innovative products and strong position on international markets, it is a perfect fit to our growing pool business activities.

With all of AQUATRON’s expertise, its know-how, its R&D and production knowledge and competences as well as its customer-oriented business model, we will meet the various expectations of our international, professional and residential customers.

Together, we will further strengthen the valuable partnerships with all of our existing and new partners who are invited and welcomed to benefit from our leading technologies and our international BWT brand activities.”

With the acquisition of AQUATRON, the BWT Group has made an important step forward in the pool market and opened up new distribution channels in Europe and around the world.

Benzi Torem, general manager of AQUATRON, is also happy about the partnership. “We are very happy to join the BWT Family with its strengths and corporate values, its high dedication and professionalism,” he says. “The worldwide presence of BWT in the water treatment and pool business will tremendously leverage AQUATRON’s market activities. We are grateful for this encouraging new relationship.”

In addition to AQUATRON’s existing pool robot range, BWT will launch three new BWT-branded lines of electrical pool cleaners for its worldwide partners in the pool business.
