Ledge Lounger has been ranked No. 420 on the 36th annual Inc. 5000, a prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful independent companies in America, and has in the past included internationally known companies like Microsoft, Under Armour, Zappos, LinkedIn and more.
The average company on the list achieved a three-year average growth of 481 percent. Ledge Lounger’s three-year sales growth was an impressive 1045.4 percent, growth that pushed the company to grow its team from five to 25.
Christopher Anderson founded Ledge Lounger in 2011. His vision was to create something sleek, comfortable and designed specifically for tanning ledges and Baja shelves, which were beginning to grow popular in pool design. His background in the pool industry gave him insight to the challenges this product needed to endure, like pool chemicals, harsh weather and UV exposure. His first design was Ledge Lounger’s signature Chaise, which is still its most popular product. Today the line includes a variety of seats, tables, umbrellas and accessories, all designed for in-water use.
“We are creating a lifestyle. We want our customers to feel as though they have a private escape from everyday life, and that a day at the pool is the ultimate, relaxing, luxurious experience,” Anderson says.
