CMAHC Welcomes New Board of Directors and Announces Kevin Post as Board President

The Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC) has announced the appointment of Karllee Barton, Amanda L. Tarrier, MPH, and Christopher Walker to its Board of Directors. These distinguished professionals bring a wealth of experience and leadership to CMAHC’s mission of advancing health and safety in the commercial aquatic industry.

Barton is a product safety and government affairs chemist at Sigura, specializing in the safety and sustainability of pool and spa products. Tarrier is Chief of the Recreational Environmental Health Section at the New York State Department of Health. Walker is a senior program analyst for environmental health at the National Environmental Health Association.

Kevin PostKevin PostKevin Post will serve as the President of CMAHC’s Board of Directors, bringing his expertise and vision to the organization during a new period of growth and innovation.

“In 2025, CMAHC will remain at the forefront of addressing critical gaps in education and maintenance within the commercial pool space,” says Post, CMAHC Board of Directors President. “With the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC) now offering essential guidance on swim lagoons and surf pools, and with ongoing work in emerging areas like cold plunges and indoor air quality, CMAHC continues to ensure our industry is equipped to create safe environments that adapt to new challenges and opportunities.”

The CMAHC team thanks Maurice Redmond, Ellen Meyer, and David Dyjack, outgoing board members, for their dedicated service and contributions to the organization’s mission.
