NESPA has released the results of its second annual industry survey, a report that covers business trends, insights and strategies among pool and spa professionals in the Northeastern U.S.
"Keeping our fingers on the pulse of our industry is essential for NESPA so that we can best serve our members and help our members best serve their customers,” says NESPA President Irene Insignares. "As a business owner, having the chance to see what other companies are trying in the areas of marketing, employee benefits and other areas is really invaluable."
A few findings:
- Respondents are confident 2017 will be a strong year; 85 percent of respondents think sales will increase.
- Finding and retaining quality employees is the biggest challenge.
- Most companies use a variety of marketing tools to meet their goals. Social media is a popular method, as 77 percent of respondents use it for their business. Facebook is the most popular network (68 percent) followed by Google+ (27 percent) and LinkedIn (25 percent).
