It’s official: The world’s first hot tub theme park is open for business.

As we reported in February, the concept for this “spamusement” park debuted in a video in November 2016. The video depicted an assortment of unique attractions, including a carousel, Ferris wheel and even a roller coaster, all of which would be filled with hot water.

The video came with an alluring promise: If the video reached 1 million views, the project would go into development. (The video went viral right after its release, and that 1 million milestone was quickly reached.)

With eight natural hot springs, Beppu is known as the hot spring capital of the world, making it a natural home to a hot tub theme park. As Travel + Leisure notes, Beppu is home to the second-largest source of thermal spring water, with the first being Yellowstone National Park.

The theme park opened in late July, right on schedule, with much of what the original video promised — even the hot tub roller coaster. Attendance was completely sold out.
