And much like fashion designers, vinyl liner manufacturers are always considering how to update their selection with on-trend designs and patterns. Here’s our roundup of the latest crop of fashionable options:
Need fresh options for vinyl pool liners? Designers at GLI created six new vinyl liner patterns that are both rich in color and on-trend for backyard projects, the company says. The latest designs, like the Gabbiano pattern (shown), were inspired by marble, granite, travertine and slate textures and colors to reflect the latest trends in landscape design.
Vinyl pool liner manufacturer Canadian General Tower has expanded its selection with the new Bourbon Street Plaza liner design. With rich blue and taupe hues, the mosaics in this pattern mimic the feel of the classically-designed fountains of old-world New Orleans, the company says. Below the border is the new Plaza floor design — a mixture of small blue tiles that sparkle underwater.
New from LOOP-LOC is the exclusive Mykonos pattern that blends several shades of deep blue offset by a blue beach pebble design, making it true to the island jewel of the Aegean Sea for which it is named, the company says. The exclusive pattern is available in 20 and 28 mil with a matching textured pattern for pool steps.
Merlin Industries announces eight new patterns for 2013. Of the new patterns, three were created to benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy and are named after local areas, including Atlantic City, Breezy Point and Seaside Heights (shown). For each Hurricane Sandy Relief Liner sold from January 1 to June 30, 2013, the company will donate $10 to the American Red Cross.
Garrett has added eight exciting new patterns to its three collections of liners: “All 20 Mil;” “TUFFside,” which includes 28/20 mil liners and “SuperLine,” which includes all 28 mil liners. Featured is the Blue Dolphin Tile with Seabrook pattern, which depicts swimming dolphins in eye-catching shades of blue. Garrett Liners, in business since 1964, backs its virgin vinyl liners with a 20-year warranty.
Latham announces two new color-coordinating liner patterns. The exclusive Courtstone Grey and Courtstone Blue patterns were designed to complement the natural look of stone decking, enable pools to blend naturally into their environment and coordinate perfectly with the company’s new natural granite steps in both blue and grey. Latham’s selection utilizes the patent-pending Ultra-Seam process, which makes floor seams stronger and virtually invisible, the company says.
AlkorPlan is a heavy-duty, reinforced PVC membrane ideal for commercial or semi-commercial pools. Available in a wide array of patterns and colors, Alkorplan has the ability to adapt to all shapes and pool configurations, which makes it a great choice for renovating older pools or building new ones, the company says. Alkorplan comes with a 10-year guarantee, but with proper maintenance, the company says it could last a lifetime.
New for 2013, the Santa Maria Tile with Seabrook floor is a tile pattern in sand and blue hues coupled with a multicolored stone floor. The pattern is standard in the Legacy Edition brand steel wall pool kit and comes with an upgraded 20-year prorated warranty with the first five years full, the company says.
Tara introduces the luxurious new Carmel pattern, one of two new selections added to this year’s collection. Much like the elegant floral mosaic tiles depicted in the pattern, Tara liners fit tightly together with welded seams, giving your pool designs style, strength and durability, the company says. Carmel is available in 20 mil or 27 mil.
A popular new pattern, Bohemia, is a top seller for Pegasus Products. It features a realistic-looking tile border and is made from virgin vinyl with inhibitors for mildew, mold and algae. These and other additives are designed to increase the life of the liner by increasing resistance to chemicals, decreasing brittleness and improving resistance to punctures.
The new Chatham tile design uses clean lines and sharp colors to create a continuous, multidimensional tile border. With various tones of blue, the tiles in this design are paired with Pen Fabricator’s popular water floor pattern that will enhance the shimmer of the pool’s water, the company says. The pattern is available in both 20 and 28 mil.
The new Monaco tile uses warm blue and gray colors in a traditional tile border design. The liner is part of Plastimayd’s “rich and vibrant” collection, which includes liners that awaken the senses with colors and textures reminiscent of oceanfront luxury, the company says. Paired with the Monaco tile is the Seaspray floor, designed to make pool water sparkle. The pattern is available in both 20 and 28 mil thicknesses.
