Thursday Pools, manufacturer of innovative fiberglass pools, has installed a new thermal oxidizer — a fume incinerator that reduces VOC emissions by up to 98%. This new piece of equipment will be used to capture VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) emitted during the production process.
“We’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint, so we chose to go beyond the requirements of ISO 14001,” says Ed Vondell, COO of the company. “Thursday Pools is deeply committed to doing everything possible to reduce our environmental impact.”
Thursday Pools was certified as an ISO 14001 company in 2019 having achieved very specific environmental performance requirements. The company was also awarded the Environmental Stewardship Program award by the state of Indiana for creating and implementing an environmental management system in their manufacturing facility.
