Yesterday, the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) and the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC) announced an affiliation agreement at the Canadian Pool & Spa Conference & Expo in Toronto.

APSP President and CEO Rich Gottwald and PHTCC Executive Director Robert Wood signed the historic agreement making a partnership to promote, advance and advocate the interests of the swimming pool, hot tub and spa industry across North America.

Under the agreement, members of the PHTCC will become members of APSP and receive membership benefits. Both organizations will maximize promotional opportunities to strengthen brands and membership opportunities.

“We are delighted with the formalization of our close relationship with The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals,” stated Wood. “In addition to expanding the level of service offered to members, this agreement will help foster efforts to collaborate on policy development, and thereby serve to further advocacy efforts on key issues of mutual interest. This is a monumental step forward for the industry in North America.”

“We are honored to be affiliated with the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada,” said Gottwald. “Collectively, we are a stronger industry by promoting membership, sharing resources and working cooperatively to invigorate consumer interest in our industry’s products. Membership in PHTCC goes hand in hand with membership in APSP and we are excited about this opportunity.”
